Project summary

This project involved the structural renovation and revitalization of an aging apartment building that had suffered extensive interior and structural damage. The original wood floor systems were deteriorated beyond repair, and several key structural components had been compromised due to prolonged wear and environmental exposure. CSD Engineering was brought in to evaluate the structural integrity, design a new code-compliant framing system, and oversee the full scope of structural repairs required to restore the building’s safety and functionality. Our team developed a comprehensive structural solution tailored to the existing conditions, balancing preservation with modern standards. In addition to structural design, we provided full construction administration services, working closely with the contractor throughout the renovation process to ensure the work was executed accurately, safely, and in accordance with all applicable codes.
