Project summary

This striking custom residence, located in the heart of Miami, was developed in close collaboration with our architectural partners at Espazio Design. The home is a showcase of modern residential design, featuring expansive interior volumes, high ceilings, and a dramatic cantilevered terrace roof that extends outward to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. CSD Engineering provided the complete structural design for the project, with a focus on integrating complex architectural elements into a buildable, code-compliant system. The long-span roof cantilever, one of the signature features of the home, demanded advanced structural analysis and detailing to ensure both performance and aesthetic lightness — particularly given Miami’s stringent hurricane wind load requirements. In addition to design, CSD Engineering performed all construction administration and special inspections throughout the build. Our team maintained close communication with the contractor, conducted ongoing field reviews, and ensured all structural components were installed in accordance with approved documents and local code. This project is a prime example of how collaborative design, structural expertise, and active field involvement can come together to deliver a high-end custom home that is both architecturally ambitious and structurally sound.
